Pinnacle Alternative Investments offers a multitude of services for start-up, emerging and established Commodity Trading Advisors. Our ability to provide these services is derived from our extensive hands on experience and skills obtained at every level of the development and growth process of managing money in the alternative investment industry.

During the course of selecting the candidate partners, our review and screening process is consistently applied in determining whether the partnership can be effective in attaining the goals sought by the advisor/manager. Several critical criteria will be addressed during the due diligence phase of this process:

  • Is the trading style/methodology appropriate for the targeted investors?
  • Is the delivery (execution) of this methodology effective and reliable?
  • Is the trading program scaleable and is there capacity to manage significant amounts of trading capital?
  • Are the absolute and relative performance characteristics of the program manageable throughout the development and growth process?
  • Does the advisor appreciate and understand the complexity of the asset gathering process and will he be fully prepared to devote the requisite attention and time necessary to make the partnership a successful one?
  • Does the advisor understand the required "life cycle" of an effective marketing campaign?
  • Is the advisor committed to working with Pinnacle as a true partner and in so doing, provide the necessary financial resources and time required to ensure mutual success?

Pinnacle's selection process is quite rigorous and our criterion is straightforward. Because we partner with a select few advisors/managers our focus for potential partners is based on:

  • The definable "edge" exhibited in the performance of the trading approach (Quantitative).
  • Investor demand for the methodology and delivery of the trading approach.
  • The length of the track record and assets under management (AUM).
  • The quality and depth of management at the top of the advisor's operations.
  • The quality and professionalism of the front/back office operations.
  • The reliability and reputation of the auditors, accountants and other third-party service vendors that assist the advisor's ongoing operations.
